About our Football Club

History

Moordown & Southbourne FC have been playing football for over 20 years. Previously know as Moordown Athletic YFC we changed our name in 2018 when we moved to our new training base at St Peters Primary School based near Southbourne. Starting with just one team we have now grown to about 150 players and 10 teams and are always keen to add more. We are a Hampshire FA registered club and play in the Bournemouth Youth Football League (BYFL) and the Hampshire cup. You'll see us playing at weekends in classic Black & White Stripes.



A Tradition of Team Spirit

As a club we stress the importance of player enjoyment, fairness and loyalty. A volunteer run club with about 30 FA Level 1 qualified coaches who are all fully DBS checked. They are supported by a committee including our club Secretary, Treasurer, Chairman and Child Welfare Officer

The Future...

We are always looking to grow as a club so if you would like to join we can look to see if we have any spaces. Recently we invested in a new club store for all our spare kit and 6 new roll goals for 11v11 football and 9v9 football at our home pitches. We welcome girls playing in our teams and if you would like to help us grow with support, including sponsorship, please get in touch.
